The Riga Technical University is the oldest and the largest university of Latvia (~15 000 students) with long-standing higher education and research traditions dating back to 1862. 8 faculties of University offer high standard education in a wide range of study programmes. The RTU Faculty of Engineering Economics and Management (FEEM) provides higher education in Economics and Management at all study levels as well as carries out methodological work and research in various economy related areas, special focus areas being economic development and innovation. Research is also actively pursued by the numerous RTU research and innovation centres and technological parks. FEE lecturers and scientists are working with SME as consultants thus these relationships will allow transfer knowledge and experience properly as well as to develop new products.
For development of Social Responsible education Faculty of Engineering Economics and Management, Riga Technical University, University have joined the PRME network (Principles for Responsible Management Education) on 2008.
